The Crooked Cue Story<\/small> Chrono 1920<\/h2>\n

In 1920, a gentleman by the name of Sam Pappas arrived in Belleville, Ontario from his homeland in Tripoli, Greece. He owned and operated Pappas Billiards as well as the Belmont restaurant which became local landmarks foreshadowing the career path that future generations of the Pappas family would follow. In 1954, Sam Pappas moved to Toronto and purchased the building at 3056 Bloor Street West where his son, William Pappas, owned and operated \u201cKingsway Billiards\u201d with great success for over 40 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Kingsway<\/h3>\t\t\t

Around 1990,<\/strong> the billiards business was under-going a major transition. An up-scale image mixing billiards with great food and atmosphere was becoming the norm. The Crooked Cue set the benchmark for this concept and was the first poolroom in the City of Toronto to be completely licensed throughout its premises. The Crooked Cue has earned its reputation based on great food, exceptional service and ambient atmosphere, enhanced by the recent addition of our two retractable rooftops at the Etobicoke location.<\/p>\n

Port Credit<\/h3>\t\t\t

In 1997,<\/strong> the family tradition continued with the opening of the second Crooked Cue location in the charming historic Vogue Theatre building in Port Credit, Mississauga.\u00a0 The same tradition of upscale but comfortable surroundings of exposed brick walls, mahogany pool tables, fireplace lounges, and outdoor patios make this location as special as the original.\u00a0 Great food, exceptional service, and the fun activities of pool and ping pong are always on order at the Port Credit location of The Crooked Cue.\u00a0 Voted by Mississauga News as \u201cBest Pool Hall\u201d 23 years running!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>
